Title
Assessment of locally available processed lignocellulosic biomass fibres for natural remediation of oil spillage including restoration of coastal/marine environment and reuse of the waste oil-contaminated biomass for energy production
The overriding aim of this project is to assess locally available processed lignocellulosic biomass fibres for natural remediation of oil spillage including restoration of coastal/marine environment and to reuse the waste oil-contaminated biomass for energy/electricity production. It focuses on the use of cheap, eco-friendly, non-toxic and locally available effective bio-based absorbent fibres as a simple and non-destructive cleaning option for oil spill recovery applications.
