The first section of the report focuses on the issues pertaining to the teaching of science at the level of primary schools and the recommendations made thereafter. Section B deals with the issues and recommendations for the secondary sector. In Section C, common recommendations are formulated for both sectors. The aims of science education at the primary level was to:
prepare young people to acquire a broad understanding of the main ideas and processes of science,
enable students to understand procedures of scientific inquiry and apply new knowledge to solve problems,
understand and appreciate the interdependence between science and technology and the way technology is impacting human life.
