This research work focused on social workers who are appointed by the government to serve on a voluntary basis as members of social welfare committees that help in the administration of social welfare centers set up under the social welfare centers act of 1961. The aim of this project was to understand the characteristics of social committee members, their behaviour and the different factors that influence them in their role as members.
