Abstract: Oxydothis bambusicola sp. nov. is reported from senescent bamboo (Indocalamus sp.) culms collected from Shing Mun Country Park, Hong Kong SAR, PR China. This fungus differs from other Oxydothis species in having a relatively massive subapical ascal ring and ascospores with rounded apices with a small amount of mucilage at the apices. The species is compared with previously reported Oxydothis species.
