Software quality remains a crucial aspect due to its strong correlation with client’s satisfaction and/or expectation, the organisation’s image, profitability and competitiveness on the market. Through the added-value that quality products bring, more clients are attracted to the business, thereby promoting sustainable growth that is the realistically attainable growth that a company could maintain without running into problems. The development of a software project always goes through a software development life cycle (SDLC) and irrespective of the model exercised, human factors are always involved in almost all the cycles thus increasing the degree of complexity in software quality. Moreover, there are many interrelated parameters involved through the SDLC whereby changes done to one parameter for example a change in the Software Requirement Specification (SRS) will cause a cascading effect to other parameters such as the design, implementation and testing. The objective of this research is to study the complexity of software quality through the relationships between parameters, their respective and overall impact on software quality.
