Given the emphasis of saving the Earth against the effect of global warming, green technology has become mandatory in every aspect of life today. Green computing is the study and practice of using computing resources efficiently so as to reduce CO2 emission. This paper is an attempt to comprehend the awareness of green computing among the students of University of Technology, Mauritius. The results suggest that students have a moderate knowledge about green computing but their everyday green computing practices are not satisfactory. It is quite promising however, that the students surveyed intend to adopt green computing for the benefit of the environment and their future.
