The Ludo Cellular Automata (LCA) concept proposed in this paper, harnesses a stochastic approach for vehicle acceleration at microscopic level. Inspired by the traditional Ludo board game, a die roll in LCA coupled with a set of Ludo rules and biases have the potential to improve the stochasticity of traffic flow speed. Hence, LCA increases vehicle acceleration and deceleration accuracy. Furthermore, the model defines spaces with multiple-state, which can accommodate multiple constraints. Each space in a lane contains a speed value, which allows vehicles to react accordingly. The LCA model aims at providing a robust and flexible algorithm that enhances traffic flow accuracy and computation efficiency.
