Agent technology has an immense potential in e-commerce. Personalised mobile-agents could be despatched by users to find and recommend products and services, negotiate the terms of transactions, and even make payments. However, among the reasons for the technology’s unmet potential are security concerns. In this paper, we propose the use of decoy honey-agents to conduct transactions to monitor the actions of the agent servers towards the mobile-agent. Such information can give an indication of the trustworthiness of agent servers.
